The painting arrived clean and undamaged. We kept the wrapping until we had checked everything, then enjoyed seeing how it looked in the room.

The texture is not extremely thick, which I like. There is enough variation to avoid a printed look.
The metallic-looking details are restrained at home, not constantly bright.
The broad wall over our main cabinet wasn't the right spot for this size. We moved it beside a chair on a narrower wall and it suddenly felt purposeful. I hadn't expected placement to change my opinion that much. It now belongs to a corner we actually use, with enough space around it to avoid a crowded arrangement.
The broken geometry reads more clearly off-screen.
I first planned to use this in the bedroom, but it felt more balanced behind the desk. From the doorway, the broken geometry is clear and the atmospheric palette gives the wall character without looking staged.
The black forms look bolder in person, while the gray-white layers and gold cracks appear softer than online.
It adds a dark, industrial mood above our stone console without making the living room feel overly Gothic.
“Every fracture carries the beginning of another form.”
Black forms extend outward from the gray-white texture, with golden cracks winding through them. Splashes, cracks, and layered shades of gray combine to form a fragmented yet orderly structure, as if new forms were gradually emerging from the fissures.
Inspired by the natural patterns formed when rock layers fracture, as well as the traces of erosion left by time on the surfaces of materials, the work views “fissures” as a process of generation: when the original structure is broken, new forms and orders begin to emerge.
