The painting was secure in its packaging, with no damage from the trip. Getting it unwrapped took patience, but seeing it on the wall was worth it.

Last Light looks darker and clearer in person.
I expected the artwork to look almost exactly like the main listing image, but the real piece has more variation. The candle and moth details are less uniform and the darker tones are not flat. That handmade difference makes it look much better on the wall than it did on screen.
We put this beside the chair where we read before bed.
The scene reads best here when the room itself is softly lit.
Last Light shows uneven brush direction and small raised areas, so the surface does not look mechanically printed.
We hung it in our den; the scale feels balanced.
The corners and frameless finish were well protected in transit.
It became the focal point over our bedroom dresser right away.
Hung it up that night and yeah... worth it. Looks even better when the room is dark.
Shipping took some time, but came packed really safe.
Actually see the strokes around the light and how the darker paint builds around it. Really really nice up close.
"Some lights are worth the ashes."
In the silence of darkness, a lone moth rests beside the final candle flame—the only light that remains. A timeless Gothic symbol of the soul, desire, and sacrifice, the moth reflects the courage to pursue meaning despite impermanence. The truest light is not the one that lasts forever, but the one worth approaching.
Inspired by the enduring Gothic image of the moth and the flame, this work views the moth not as a symbol of blindness, but of longing. The candle speaks of mortality, the flame of hope, and the moth of a soul willing to seek light despite its cost. Within NightRelic's world, what defines a life is not its ending, but the courage to follow what gives it meaning.
