It works beside the dresser without competing with the bedroom mirror.

Quiet Awakening looks darker and clearer in person.
The 40" x 30" piece arrived securely packed, with no damage to the Obsidian Black frame.
I had spent so much time enlarging the website images that I expected to notice the same details from across our room. That wasn't realistic. At a normal viewing distance, the painting comes together much more quietly. The close-up interest is still there when I step near it, which feels like a better balance for daily life.
The sailboat and circular shapes remain distinct in gentle light. Under the strongest overhead bulb, the reds felt less balanced to me.
The paint is fairly subtle head-on, but side light picks up raised marks around the layered composition.
I was unsure this smaller size would have enough presence, but it still reads well on the wall. The dark walnut wood frame is neatly finished, and soft side light gives the darker sections more separation.
I first planned to use it in the bedroom, but it looked better above our narrow living room wall. The moody modern style feels strong without making the room look themed.
The website photos miss some of the detail in the soft neutral contrast.
The red is more brick than bright scarlet, which I like. The small boat also looks sharper in person than it did in the room mockup.
Mostly smooth, with a few visible hand-painted lines around the gold.
The frameless edge keeps this bold piece from feeling too heavy.
"The dream fades before the mind fully returns."
A golden light rises through a red and black geometric world, while a small dark sailboat rests between shadow and illumination. Circles, curves, and divided forms suggest reality slowly rebuilding its structure as the dream begins to fade. The work captures the first moment after waking, when the world remains uncertain but consciousness has already begun to emerge from the depths of sleep.
Inspired by the weightless moments after waking, the arrival of morning light, and the brief state in which dream and reality remain intertwined, the work traces consciousness as it returns. Within the world of NightRelic, awakening is not simply opening the eyes, but slowly learning to recognize the world again.
