I hesitated at the price, but I am glad I ordered.

The black citadel reads more clearly off-screen.
Love darker interiors, so this fit right in. I've always loved medieval architecture, so this immediately caught my attention.
It doesn't look perfectly smooth or identical everywhere. That makes it more interesting to me, especially in a room where I see it every day.
The wall near our doorway gets seen constantly, so that is where we put it. We kept the surrounding area relatively empty and moved a neighboring print. The arrangement feels less busy now. I like having a gothic painting in an ordinary lived-in room without needing to gather every dark object we own around it.
I wanted visible paint without a heavy plaster effect. This has a good balance: a few raised sections, thinner brushy areas, and small irregular marks around the black citadel that make the surface feel worked by hand.
The Black Citadel arrived clean and completely undamaged.
We put this over a dark leather sofa and it changed the whole room. The wide format suits the wall much better than a vertical piece would have, and the walnut frame warms up all the black. The citadel and crows give it a strong gothic presence, but the mist keeps the details from feeling too sharp or theatrical. It's dramatic, just not costume-y.
Love it Color was slightly darker than I expected.
I originally bought this for the hallway but ended up moving it into our dining room. Somehow it looks even better there. Funny how that happens sometimes.
The packaging was excellent and everything arrived in perfect shape. Once it's hanging on the wall you can really make out the layers in the background and even the birds overhead.
"Empires fade. Echoes remain."
Soaring spires rise from the mist, like an ancient holy city slumbering in the depths of time. Layers of architecture blend seamlessly with the mountainside, forming a solemn and imposing silhouette beneath the gloomy sky. Circling crows and swirling mist shroud the entire space in an atmosphere suspended between mystery and eternity.
Inspired by the imagery of ruins found in Gothic architecture and Dark Romantic painting.
In Gothic culture, ruins symbolize not only decay but also the power of time. Those towers and cathedrals, eroded by wind and rain, bear witness to the rise and fall of civilizations. This work seeks to present a vision that transcends history: when all things eventually turn to dust, only memory and spirit continue to echo within the ruins.
