It changes noticeably between morning and evening light. The smoked oak frame keeps the darker palette looking neat.
The little raised bits are lovely when daylight reaches the wall.
The parcel arrived intact, and nothing had been damaged inside. It was a relief to see it in person after checking the tracking so often.
I almost skipped this because it is hard to judge darker artwork online. After seeing it at home, I was relieved that the clustered forms stayed clear, the canvas felt substantial, and the atmospheric look was not overly theatrical.
We hung it above the sectional; the scale feels balanced.
I was most worried about shipping because the piece is fairly large. The outer package showed normal handling wear, but the inner protection kept the obsidian black frame and painted surface completely safe.
In person, the clustered forms looks atmospheric and richer than online.
I was mainly buying this for the texture, and it delivered. The paint around the clustered forms feels irregular in a convincing way.
“In silence, everything finds its own order.”
Rounded, weighty abstract forms stack, separate, and lean against one another across the composition. Black, grey, ivory, and rust brown are arranged into restrained blocks of color, creating a slow and steady rhythm within an apparently motionless structure.
Inspired by the quiet order found among stones, architectural fragments, and natural forms. By rearranging different weights and scales, the work searches for a kind of balance that requires no language to sustain itself.
