Thick paint around the flower heads catches side light and changes through the day.

Shipping took a little longer than I expected, and the outer carton showed some wear. The inside was packed very securely though, and the thick sunflower texture arrived without a single rubbed spot.
The sunflowers are darker and more weathered than my monitor showed.
"What withers returns to the earth."
Withered sunflower heads and twisting stems emerge from a dark, textured surface. Burnt orange, antique gold, and deep brown pigments form intricate layers of dripping paint and porous textures, giving the fading plants an almost sculptural presence.
Inspired by plants fading at the end of autumn, the work finds beauty in the raw forms left behind after blooming, reflecting the traces of time and the quiet return of life to nature.
