The finish is clean at the corners, and indirect window light brings out the horse and reins without glare.
It arrived with no scratches or bent corners. The wrapping was a little awkward on my own, but the painting itself was absolutely fine.
The real thing has more depth. So happy with it.
My main worry was receiving something that looked mass-produced. The small color shifts, uneven brush direction, and clean aged bronze black wood frame helped. It still matches the listing, but the real surface feels much more convincing.
Looks right on the landing wall and does not crowd it.
It was packed more carefully than I expected, especially around the edges. The atmospheric painting arrived ready to handle without loose paint.
In flat room light the painting looks fairly restrained, but side light reveals a lot of brush movement. The thicker marks around the horse and reins give the dramatic image depth without looking like exaggerated plaster.
In person, the horse and reins looks dark and richer than online.
“Beyond the boundary, direction becomes your own.”
A black horse dissolves into sweeping strokes of teal, blue-grey, and warm ivory, its form shifting between abstraction and recognition. The reins remain visible, yet are gradually overtaken by surging color and movement.
Inspired by the freedom that follows release. Rather than focusing on direct resistance against restraint, the work turns its gaze beyond the boundary—when limitations lose their meaning, strength begins to find a direction of its own.
