This was a bigger purchase than my usual wall pictures, so I took my time. I checked the dimensions and looked through the detail photos before ordering. It looks lovely now that it is here, and I am really pleased with it. Choosing the smaller version was right for our room and made the decision feel more manageable.
I wanted visible paint without a heavy plaster effect. This has a good balance: a few raised sections, thinner brushy areas, and small irregular marks around the cathedral arches that make the surface feel worked by hand.
The heavy texture creates beautiful shadows and gives the painting a sculptural quality. It feels carefully handmade.
I worried the color difference would be dramatic, but it is mostly a question of lighting. The texture is the part that feels different from a photograph.
The tall interior needed less wall space than I had imagined.

The Obsidian Black frame and 36" x 24" were exactly right for our space.
The proportions work nicely over our dining sideboard. It fills the empty wall and adds a dark, slightly Gothic look while still feeling modern.
The best part is the surface. You can see individual brush marks and slightly raised paint through the cathedral silhouette and fine details, especially when daylight comes from the side. It is not perfectly uniform, which is exactly why it feels hand painted. From farther away, the texture blends together and gives the image more depth.
Packaging was extremely solid and the framed corners arrived perfect. It took some effort to unpack, but for a piece this size I appreciated that.
